Meriden Brittania Company Silverplate Bulldog Napkin Ring

Condition:  Very good vintage condition. Some wear/loss of silver consistent with age and use. Please see photos. 

Details:  A bulldog in a playful stance bears a cylindrical napkin ring on his back. He wears a very detailed collar with a lock suspended from it. The napkin ring has an embossed border on either end featuring alternating acorns and oak leaves. A floral motif of a sunflower or daisy plant is engraved on the sides between the borders. A classic script "H" is engraved on the center top. The ring is marked with the stamped circular logo of the 'Meriden B Company' with a set of scales in the center, as well as the stamped model number 244.
